Dep't of Tex., Veterans of Foreign Affairs of the U.S. v. Tex. Lottery Comm'n, No. 11-50932 - Free Speech/First Amednment/Constitutional Law - the political advocacy restrictions of the Texas Bingo Act (which prohibit nonprofit organizations from using the proceeds of bingo games to "support or oppose a measure submitted to a vote of the people" or "influence or attempt to influence legislation") restrict political speech protected by the First Amendment, are subject to strict scrutiny, and are unconstitutional.
